For the Rabobank headquaters extra large wall textiles were developed from a combination of visual and acoustic needs and requirements. The challenge was to create a good work climate within the open environment with catering functions. By deploying storey-high textiles various atmospheres were created. Different effects of abstract patterns to images of landscapes were converted to “wall paintings”. Textile panels within a frame separate a number of private working areas from each other. By moving them up and down the areas next to each other are separated from each other or merged into one. Within in the open bakery space, three meeting rooms were situated; especially the round shape was a great acoustical challenge. The drums are constructed from sliding walls; in open position they are part of the open space. When closed the sound is completely blocked.
