Together with Hybrid Forms Lab by Raoul Frese (VU Amsterdam) and Waag’s Textile Lab, we organise the second meetup for LABS: Future Interiors on 10 September 2020.
In Living Aero Bacterial Systems’ (LABS) we investigate the application possibilities of lab-grown textiles to improve our interiors in a sustainable way: a kombucha-based textile as 100% biodegradable interior elements and as substrate for vegetation.
During this LABS meetup #2, we explore how to pave the road from a small scale, lab-grown, living material towards a user accepted, trendsetting, competitive interior applicable product. Speakers include: Iza Awad (researcher VU Amsterdam), Els Zijlstra (material matchmaker) and Eva van den Broek (founder Foundation Behavioural Insights). The meetup is moderated by journalist and writer Jeroen Junte.
This online meetup will take place on Thursday 10 September 2020, from 20:00 – 21:00.
