Studio Samira Boon has been invited at a special Lexus event to talk about about the potential of origami structures.
both Lexus and Studio Samira Boon highly value what the Japanese call ‘Takumi’: attention to detail and craftsmanship. Origami is not only an important expression of Japanese identity and philosophy: its flexible and dynamic structures allow to connect nature and science in new and innovative ways. Lexus is also using origami in their newest cars.
The Lexus event took place on 12-13 June in the Louwman Museum in the Hague, home to the world’s oldest private collection of classic motor cars. The building was designed by American architect Michael Graves.
